Mykhailo Rudenko

Michail was born in Kiev in 1961. He studied at the Sevchenko Republican School of Art and the Kiev Institute of Art (now the National Academy of Art and Architecture), where he graduated in easel painting under the guidance of O.M. Lopukho, the Ukraine National Artist, and was awarded the Surikov scholarship.

He has been exhibiting his works since 1985, starting with his diploma painting ‘Mother’ at the Republican Exhibition in Kiev and the All-Union Exhibition in Moscow, and has participated in numerous exhibitions both in Ukraine and abroad. His works are held in museums, galleries and private collections in Great Britain, Norway, Sweden, Germany, France, Austria, Hungary and the US.

M. Rudenko now combines creative work with teaching at the Kiev National University of Technology and Design. He has been a member of the National Union of Painters since 1991. Until 2012 he participated in scientific work on a section of the ’Sophia of Kyiv’ National Reserve.
